Starlights to host Midwestern DREAM Camp

The Starlights have been named the hosts for the 2013 Midwestern DREAM Camp, and S.T.A.R.S combine, to be held Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills. This camp is geared toward helping skaters at the Beginner, Preliminary, Pre-juvenile, Open Juvenile and Juvenile levels improve their individual and synchronized skating skills. The program faculty at each camp consists of at least three Team USA coaches, in addition to Team USA athletes who are members of U.S. Figure Skating’s DREAM program. The curriculum consists of approximately seven hours of instruction, including four on-ice sessions with Team USA coaches and athletes. For more information on the programs, please click here.

US Figure Skating’s DREAM Program
U.S. Figure Skating’s DREAM program was developed with the goal of using the skating and leadership skills of America’s top synchronized skaters to influence the lives of developing athletes. Each year skaters are selected from a highly accomplished pool of applicants from Team USA synchronized skating teams to join U.S. Figure Skating in various programs to support and promote synchronized skating in the United States. Follow the DREAM blog of all the chosen athletes here.
